West Hollywood Lions Club
A hundred years of serving West Hollywood
–
A Century of Service. A Future of Giving.
Since December 28, 1926, the West Hollywood Lions Club has brought people together in service to our community.
As we celebrate our centennial, we honor the people, projects, and partnerships that have shaped our history, while looking ahead to new opportunities to make a difference.
We Serve.
100 Years. 100 Eyeglass Collection Locations.
Help Us Give the Gift of Sight
As the West Hollywood Lions Club celebrates its centennial, we are launching an ambitious initiative to establish 100 active eyeglass collection locations across the United States.
We invite retailers, businesses, and organizations to partner with us by providing convenient locations where customers and community members can donate their used eyeglasses.
We especially welcome companies with a presence in West Hollywood and additional locations throughout the country.
By collaborating with fellow Lions clubs nationwide, our goal is to coordinate local collection and recycling efforts, helping give donated eyeglasses a second life.
How a collection location works
-
A partner hosts a location
A retailer, business, or organization provides a convenient spot where customers and community members can drop off used eyeglasses.
-
A local Lions club collects
The West Hollywood Lions Club coordinates with participating Lions clubs near each location to handle local collection.
-
Glasses get a second life
Donated eyeglasses go into Lions recycling efforts so they can be used again.

A Lasting Legacy in West Hollywood
The West Hollywood Lions Club was chartered on December 28, 1926.
One of the club's most significant historical contributions was its longstanding involvement with the historic Log Cabin on Robertson Boulevard.
Built by the Lions Club in 1936, the Log Cabin became an important gathering place, including decades of support for addiction recovery and mutual-support groups.
The building remains an enduring part of the club's legacy of community service.
